With the NBA All-Star Weekend next weekend, rapper 2 Chainz has a lot to prove. The Atlanta rapper was also a high-skilled hooper for North Clayton High School and played a small stint of D-1 college basketball at Alabama State before calling it quits.
After accepting an invitation to play in the 2018 NBA Celebrity Basketball game, 2 Chainz began training like a pro in attempt to put on a show. He began training with legendary trainer Drew Hanlen who trains NBA players like Bradley Beal, Andrew Wiggins, and Dwight Howard. Tity Boi is also fighting a bit of an injury after breaking his leg last year. He talks about it on his Instagram:
I broke my leg in July so I’ll be the first to say I lost a step or two . My rhythm is off but the main thing is I’m walking again something I took for granted. People don’t see what goes into being great because it is often behind closed doors. All I ever wanted to do is make my momma PROUD !!! Cc skills coach @drewhanlen @amoila_cesar & 🎥by @samlimon_
The NBA All Star Celebrity Game is next Friday, February 16th and features Tracy McGrady, Michael B. Jordan, and others.
