Guard Your Wallet: Equifax Hack May Be Worse Than First Thought

It shocked the country and the world once news broke last September that creditor, Equifax was hacked. It was understood that millions of individual’s personal information may had been compromised in a systems hack. While many have taken the initiative to recover from the hack and protect their information elsewhere, more details were revealed recently as to exactly what was compromised.

Officials discover that nearly 146 Million Equifax customers may have had their tax IDs and driver’s license details may have been hacked.

Equifax spokesperson, Meredith Griffanti, assured CNN on Friday that the original list of compromised information were merely a projection and was never meant to represent exact details.
