HOLLYWOOD, CA- The 90th Oscar Award Show carried an energy that little Kings and Queens will remember for the rest of their lives. Sunday evening, Hollywood celebrated its greatest and hardest working actors during the Academy awards. ‘Shape of Water’ walked away with the coveted Best Picture award, an accomplishment that critics predicted months ago. The grungy film, ‘Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing, Missouri’ was also a hit at the Oscars featuring the best actress, Francis McDormand and supporting actor, Sam Rockwell. To many’s surprise, ‘Dunkirk’ had a rather quiet night receiving awards for its sound and film quality. NBA Legend, Kobe Bryant, also took away an Oscar for Best Animated Short, ‘Dear Basketball’ (which just us love Kobe even more). But one of the most powerful moments happened when the winner for Best Original Screenplay: Get Out.
To much applause, the racially edgy and necessary film ‘Get Out’ received the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and Jordan Peele delivered a speech that we will never forget:
This one right here has some gems too. Congrats to Peele and cast!
