Washington, D.C –
In a huge victory, the Villanova Wildcats claim their second National Championship in 3 years. In a stunning battle, the Wildcats beat the Michigan Wolverines 79-62.
The game was led by a surprise performance from Villanova’s Donte DiVencenzo who had 31 points and was nearly unstoppable.
The AP Player of the year, Jalen Brunson, had a rather quiet game of 9 points but with his team mate getting 31 points, there isn’t much room left for scoring. “I’m just so thankful that he was able to have one of these nights tonight,” Brunson said of DiVincenzo’s 31-point game,”It just shows you how much depth we have as a team and how we just don’t care who gets the credit. If someone is hot, feed him. And just trying to play off each other and just trying to make sure we’re all playing together.”
Congratulations to the Villanova Wildcats!
