Washington, D.C –
The rumors began spewing weeks after the movie broke box office numbers and apparently there could be some truth to them. Superstar and creator of the hit series Atlanta on FX (duh, you know this already), Donald Glover may be in talks to join the cast of Black Panther for a potential sequel. Metro began reporting of informal discussions between Glover and the director of Black Panther, Ryan Coogler about joining the cast. To much of our surprise, Glover actually had a small input on the first Black Panther film offering up a few jokes through his brother, Stephen.
“Ryan Coogler is currently mapping out Black Panther’s sequel and has written in a number of new characters that movie-goers will be introduced to when it premieres, one of those characters, if he gets his wish, will be played by [Donald Glover’s musical alter ego] Childish Gambino. Nothing is set in stone but ‘informal talks’ [are happening] between Ryan, Gambino and reps from Marvel and Disney to see if they can make it happen.”
What do you think? You want to see Gambino in Wakanda?
