U.S Women’s Soccer Team Wins Record Fourth World Cup

CTZNS TWO | July 7, 2019

The U.S Women’s Soccer team has done it again, winning their fourth World Cup after beating the Netherlands 2-0,  Sunday. The two goals were scored by Megan Rapinoe and  Rose Lavelle, both happening in the second half. Netherlands’ defense posed a heavy challenge for the U.S but the ladies of America found a way to connect for the victory.

After being named the tournament’s outstanding player, Megan Rapinoe addressed the victory, “It’s surreal.” She continued, “I don’t know how to feel. It’s ridiculous.”

Ridiculously talented, these ladies are something to be praised. Their victory is the second straight title and these ladies have etched their name in the history books as greatness personified.
