Washington, D.C –
Leaders of the world’s biggest economies begun their discussion Monday (Aug. 26th) on what to do about biodiversity, climate change, and ocean life. Nevertheless, the President of the United States, Donald Trump was missing in action. A White House official claimed Trump skipped the meeting because of prior arrangements to meet with Germany and India. So a senior member of the Administration attended in his absence.
The same climate summit that Trump missed, both the German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi were present.
Narendra Modi spoke about the issues on twitter and how India is planning on assisting by “eliminating single use plastic, conserving water, harnessing solar energy and, protecting flora and fauna for a sustainable future”.
