WNBA Finals Series Tied 1-1,Washington Mystics Drop Game 2 Without MVP Elena Delle Donne

Yesterday, the Connecticut Sun was locked in for game two on the road against league MVP Elena Delle Donne and the Washington Mystics.

The Connecticut Sun trio played a huge part in the team’s success. Jonquel Jones had an enormous game notching a double-double with 32 points and 18 rebounds. Also, her teammate Alyssa Thomas logged her own double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds, while Courtney Williams had 22 points in 35 minutes of play. This would lead to a 99 – 87 road victory for the Connecticut sun.

Delle Donne Scare

Elena Delle Donne was injured in the first 3 minutes of the game. The two-time league MVP suffered a back spasm which led to her being out for the rest of the game leaving her team to suffer a loss at home.


The Mystics look to regain control of the series back in Connecticut for game three Sunday, October 6 at 3:30 PM.
